CINEMATOGRAPHY

I want to take a different approach and shoot with a splinter sized crew on 35mm. This will do several things for us. We will be able to shoot fast and be spontaneous on our feet by keeping a crew light. We will utilize natural light, which maintains honesty in the image and gives our spot authenticity and realness. Pairing this lighting with anamorphic lenses and 35mm will give us an unparalleled beauty that only film can capture.
The lighting, the movement of the camera, the feeling of spontaneity and imperfection puts the viewer right in the middle of the moment, which gives the scene huge emotional gravitas. It lets us form relationships with the characters, which means we care about them. We take every day, mundane happenings and make them beautiful and extraordinary.
