Jamie is a filmmaker, photographer, and visualist based in Brooklyn, NY. Jamie grew up on the East Coast, watching the films of Stephen Spielberg, John Carpenter, and the Coen Brothers (and anything starring Bill Murray). Though he studied music performance and production in college, Jamie soon began a lengthy tenure at Radical Media working with many award- winning directors on treatments for commercials, music videos, television pilots, and feature films. Jamie’s personal film work is mostly comprised of documentary and character based projects, including a short documentary titled, American Dreams, that screened in 2016 at the Madrid International Film Festival, LA Shorts Fest, and Nashville Film Festival. At Madrid, Jamie was nominated for Best Cinematography in Documentary, and won Best Director in Short Documentary. Jamie uses his extensive film knowledge and staff work experience to help bring to life a director’s creative vision in a timely and professional fashion. When he’s not working on treatments or his own work, Jamie enjoys getting outdoors whenever possible – often with camera in hand. He loves hiking, fly-fishing, camping, etc. Some of his muses include Alec Soth, Todd Hido, Gregory Crewdson, Gordon Willis, Harris Savides, Roger Deakins, and Jeff Nichols.
