As a treatment writer, Michelle draws from her combined experience as staff/treatment coordinator at FURLINED, below-the-line agent assistant at ICM, screenwriter for MIRAMAX, and treatment writer and screenwriter for top directors in the US, UK, Europe, and Canada. After many years of freelancing, she is sensitive to the needs of producers and bidders, the politics of agencies and clients, and most importantly, the expression of the director’s vision. Versed in the languages of V/SFX, CGI, high-concept, music video, integrated/multiplatform branded content, and stylized storytelling, Michelle is able to humanize the brand message through these techniques and tap into the emotion behind the image. She has an MFA in Film from Tisch School of the Arts/NYU, with a BA in photography, painting, and German Art History from Hunter College/City University of New York. Michelle has written for many DGA-award winning spots. Her muses are many, but today’s are The Fall and Richard Serra with a dash of Bob Ross for color.
