Adriana Hrenciuc (think “Her-en-chook”) originally from Bucharest, Romania, now finds herself ping-ponging between Los Angeles and London, where she provides her services as a treatment writer and visualist. Adriana studied Political Science and Law at USC, providing her with a literary platform based in persuasive and analytical writing, creating balance, and a solid framework for her love of writing narrative fiction.
After applying her written expertise to dissertation/thesis papers for graduate students seeking copy editors, she took a position with a director representation company, where she cut her teeth in terms of understanding directors and their needs. Reading myriad treatments, she studied the rhetoric and visual talents of some of the most celebrated directors in the commercial and film world. Working alongside sales reps helped her gain unique insight into reel creation and modification; thus giving Adriana greater understanding of the path a director’s work takes, and how it can be leveraged to land more work.
In terms of her visual work, that arose from her love of photography and working as an assistant to established and up-and-coming LA photographers. This exposure expanded her understanding of photography-contemporary and otherwise- along with its references and uses.
Adriana cites as her muses: Robert Mapplethorpe, Marta Becket, and Charles “Bonesy” Jones.
